All Grades
Create percussion loops using a variety of instruments
Hint: Click the dots to add a sound, click the shape to make it disappear. Press the triangle play button to hear your pattern! |
Play memory games with pictures of instruments or famous composers
Hint: At the top right, click Mozart to match famous composers and Violin to match instruments. (Verdi matches composers and their famous songs - even Miss C had a tough time with that!) |
Easily create melodies by clicking blocks on the screen
Hint: Only one block can be clicked in a column. Slide the bar from walking to running to change how fast the music plays! |
Listen to classical music and catch the stars as they follow the melodic direction
Hint: Pick which song to follow - maybe start with a slower one to practice. Then click on Star Catcher. Move the mouse/cursor up and down to catch the stars (the bunny doesn't move left and right, so wait for the stars to come to you). |
Create calming melodies by lighting up squares on the screen
Hint: Add Drums button no longer works; if you want to share your song - click copy link, then paste it in an email to me! |
Create rhythm patterns then hear them played by the band
Hint: Drag the stick rhythms into the boxes - even if you don't know the rhythm yet, listen to what happens when it's played! Change the speed by clicking the words under "Tempo". |
Younger Grades (K - 2)
Listen to figure out if the melodies are the same or different
Hint: Click each balloon to hear the melodies then click if they are the same or different |
Easily create melodies by clicking blocks on the screen
Hint: Only one block can be clicked in a column. Select Easy, Medium, or Hard to increase the number of notes in the melody. |
Make plants and tubes taller or shorter to create a song
Hint: Once you've made your song and press play, click the guitar to add more music! The dial with animals changes the speed. |
Different horses sing vocal parts to create a song
Hint: Click on each horse to make them sing; click again to make them stop |
Listen to figure out if the melody goes up or down
Hint: Click the button with the speaker and music notes to hear the example, then figure out if it goes up or down |
Use sounds found around the house to play with Pinkalicious and her friends
Hint: Once you follow all the directions to make and play an instrument, use the back arrow on the game to make a different one...then try making one for real at home! |
Upper Grades (3 - 5)
Fun game where you layer different vocal parts to create a song
Hint: Not all Versions are accessible in the Demo, just the top row. Drag the color pictures onto a shirtless guy to make him sing a new part; click him and press the X to take off the outfit and pick something new. |
Create songs with percussion backing - the possibilities are endless
Hint: This game has a lot of options - change the instruments that play the melody and the percussion parts, change the speed (tempo), or go into Settings to make the song longer, change the time signature, and more! |
Learn about different instruments and assign them to parts in a song
Hint: Once in the stadium, click Meet the Players to learn about all sorts of instruments. Click Create a Lineup to pick which instruments play different parts in a song! (Play Ball is a quiz that is really tough - enter at your own risk!) |
Word search about the orchestra, with clues instead of a word list
Hint: If you can't figure out the answer that goes with a clue, look for words you know in the puzzle |
Memory game but instead of images, different notes are played
Hint: This one is REALLY tough! It took Miss C 68 clicks to get all eight matches! |
Hit specific notes of the treble clef before they disappear
Hint: Best for 4th and 5th only since they've learned some of this in class, though others are welcome to try! |
